Book Ganapathy Homam and Navagraha Pooja through Happiquick and have Priest Narayana — a trained Vedic pandit based in Chennai — conduct both rituals at your home or chosen venue. The combined package covers the fire ritual invoking Lord Ganesha alongside a complete Navagraha Shanti pooja, performed with proper sankalpa, Vedic mantras and sastraic precision. Suited to families marking a new beginning, resolving planetary afflictions or fulfilling a vow.

What You Are Booking: Ganapathy Homam and Navagraha Pooja Explained

This is a dual-ritual package — not two separate bookings but a structured single-event ceremony performed by one trained priest. A Ganapathy Homam is a fire-offering ritual where Lord Ganesha is invoked as the remover of obstacles before any significant undertaking. The havan kund is prepared, ahutis (oblations) are offered, and the ritual closes with purnahuti. Immediately following, the Navagraha Pooja addresses the nine planetary deities — Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu and Ketu — through dedicated abhishekam, archana and mantra recitation.

Priest Narayana follows both Agama and Vaidika traditions, which means the procedure maintains the correct sequence of sankalpa, dhyana, avahana and visarjana for each deity. Families familiar with traditional Tamil Brahmin or Shaiva paddhati will recognise the rigour; those less familiar can follow along comfortably because Priest Narayana explains each step in Tamil as the ritual progresses.

What the Package Includes — and What to Confirm

Inclusions can vary by package configuration and your specific requirements, so always check your booking details carefully. As a baseline for this package, Priest Narayana arrives prepared to conduct the full Ganapathy Homam followed by Navagraha Pooja for one event. The ₹14,999 per-event price covers his professional services, ritual expertise and time.

Items that are typically coordinated separately — and which you should confirm at booking — include:

• Samagri and pooja materials — dried fruits, sesame, ghee, coconut, flowers, navagraha idols or images, and specific grains associated with each graha. Your booking confirmation will clarify whether these are supplied or need to be arranged.
• Havan kund setup — a portable kund is generally required; confirm whether this is included or whether you need to have one ready.
• Space preparation — a clean area of roughly 8×8 feet, ventilated (important in Chennai's climate), with access to an outdoor or semi-covered space preferred for the homam portion.
• Prasad and dakshina — traditional expectations beyond the package fee should be discussed directly with Priest Narayana at booking.

Transparent pricing and a clear inclusions checklist are part of the Happiquick booking experience — no surprises on the day of the ritual.

Who This Package Is Ideal For

When you book Ganapathy Homam and Navagraha Pooja as a combined event, you are typically addressing one of the following situations:

• Gruhapravesam or new home entry — beginning a new chapter by removing obstacles and seeking planetary blessings simultaneously is a common practice in Tamil households.
• Navagraha Shanti for Janma Shani or Rahu-Ketu transit — families acting on the advice of a jyotishi who has recommended a navagraha shanti often pair it with a Ganapathy Homam as the traditional starting ritual.
• Sashtiabthapoorthi or milestone family events — the 60th birthday ceremony or other significant anniversaries frequently begin with a combined homam and navagraha ritual.
• Ayush Homam pairing — while this package focuses on Ganapathy and Navagraha, families sometimes schedule it alongside other rituals; Priest Narayana can advise on sequencing.
• Business inauguration (Muhurtham) — before opening a new office or shop, many Chennai business families seek both Vinayaka's blessing and Navagraha appeasement.

How This Ritual Is Performed: Style and Variations

Priest Narayana brings fluency in both Tamil and Sanskrit, which is significant in Chennai where many families follow either the Tamil Shaiva Agama tradition or the Vaidika Smarta tradition, each with its own paddhati for mantra selection and abhishekam sequence. He aligns to the tradition of your household, making the ceremony feel authentic rather than generic.

Common variations in how families in Chennai choose to conduct this combined pooja include:

• Morning muhurtham (Brahma muhurtham or Pratah kalam) — preferred by most traditional families, as fire rituals are considered most auspicious in the forenoon.
• Apartment-friendly adaption — in high-rise buildings across areas like Anna Nagar, Velachery, Porur or Pallikaranai, a smaller portable kund with a smoke-control arrangement is used. Confirm ventilation with your building management in advance.
• Extended Navagraha Pooja — some families request a more elaborate archana for the specific graha causing concern (e.g., Saturn or Rahu), which can be discussed with Priest Narayana at the time of booking.

Choosing the Right Package for Your Ritual Needs

If you are considering whether to book Ganapathy Homam and Navagraha Pooja as a combined event or as separate rituals on different occasions, the combined format generally makes practical sense when both needs are present simultaneously. The Ganapathy Homam naturally precedes any major pooja in the Vedic tradition, so combining it with the Navagraha Pooja avoids redundancy and respects the correct ritual sequence in a single session.

If your sole need is planetary appeasement without a new undertaking or obstacle-removal intent, a standalone Navagraha Pooja may suffice — check related packages on Happiquick. Conversely, if your need is primarily obstacle-removal before a business launch, a standalone Ganapathy Homam is available. The combined package is well-suited when both intents coexist, which is common among families acting on jyotish recommendations ahead of a significant life event.

Also consider timing: Shukla Paksha (waxing moon fortnight), Sundays for Surya-related poojas, and Saturdays for Shani-related issues are commonly preferred in Chennai's ritual calendar. Priest Narayana can advise on auspicious timings relative to your muhurtham requirements.

Pricing and Value Consideration

This package is priced at ₹14,999 per event. The pricing reflects a full-day ritual commitment from a trained Vedic pandit covering two distinct ceremonies conducted in sequence. When evaluating value, consider that you are engaging a specialist — Priest Narayana's background in sastraic navagraha poojas and homam rituals means the ceremony follows the complete procedure rather than an abbreviated version.

Families in Chennai organising similar combined rituals independently often spend comparable amounts coordinating samagri, finding a qualified priest and managing logistics separately. Booking through Happiquick consolidates the priest-booking component with transparent, upfront pricing — no last-minute negotiation, and Happiffie's secure payment infrastructure protects your booking. Check availability for your preferred date early, as auspicious muhurtham slots fill quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the Ganapathy Homam and Navagraha Pooja take?

The combined ceremony typically takes between two and a half to four hours, depending on the elaborateness of the Navagraha Pooja and any additional archana requested. The Ganapathy Homam is performed first, followed immediately by the Navagraha Pooja. Plan for the full morning forenoon block if booking a morning muhurtham slot.

Does Priest Narayana bring all the pooja samagri?

Inclusions vary — confirm at booking whether samagri is supplied as part of this package or needs to be arranged separately. Happiquick's booking confirmation will specify this clearly. Many families in Chennai prefer to source flowers and fruits locally on the morning of the pooja for freshness, so clarity on this upfront avoids last-minute confusion.

Is this package available for apartment homes in Chennai?

Yes, Priest Narayana conducts rituals in apartments across Chennai. For homams, ventilation is important — a balcony, terrace access, or a well-ventilated room is preferred. Please inform your building management in advance if smoke is a concern. In fully enclosed spaces, a modified havan approach may be used; discuss this requirement when confirming your booking.

Can this pooja be performed for Rahu-Ketu transit or Janma Shani?

Yes. The Navagraha Pooja component specifically addresses all nine grahas, including Rahu, Ketu and Shani. If your jyotishi has recommended a targeted Navagraha Shanti for a specific planetary transit, mention this to Priest Narayana at booking so the appropriate emphasis and mantra count can be incorporated into the ceremony.

What is the ₹14,999 price inclusive of?

The price covers Priest Narayana's professional services for the complete Ganapathy Homam and Navagraha Pooja as a single event. Whether samagri, havan kund, or travel costs are included should be confirmed in your Happiquick booking details. There are no hidden service charges added at checkout — pricing displayed is transparent and final for the package as listed.

Can we request a specific tradition — Tamil Shaiva or Smarta paddhati?

Yes. Priest Narayana is trained in both Agama and Vaidika traditions and is fluent in Tamil and Sanskrit. You can specify your family's tradition or gotram-related requirements when confirming the booking. He will align the sankalpa, mantra selection and procedure accordingly, so the ceremony feels authentic to your household's practice.

How early should I book for an auspicious date?

Auspicious muhurtham dates — particularly Shukla Paksha days, Rahu Kala-free mornings, and festival-adjacent slots — tend to fill quickly in Chennai. Booking at least one to two weeks in advance is advisable for your preferred date. Check availability on Happiquick for your chosen slot and confirm early to avoid disappointment.

Is this package suitable for a business inauguration or office opening?
